About Us

Over the last 7 years, Karen Ackiss Klepzig has provided therapy as a middle school counselor, as a therapist in private practice, and as a school-based therapist. Having advocated for teens throughout her career, Karen has witnessed and worked to compensate for countless gaps in available social and mental health services in the Asheville area.
As her focus has narrowed to working primarily with neurodivergent teens/young adults, that specificity has allowed Karen to concentrate her efforts. As a result, the practice has introduced two unique services in addition to therapy, and will continue rolling out new services over time.
